An eye for what matters.
I reshape organisations in regulated environments and take responsibility as an interim manager at executive level, when the structure no longer fits, when a leadership role is vacant or when an inspection is approaching.

“I see what the organisation has stopped seeing.
I hear what people do not say.
And I stay until the job is done.”
Simone Lorenz-Asmus
I am Simone Lorenz-Asmus, an interim executive for organisational development and transformation in pharma, biotech and healthcare. My company is based in Frankfurt am Main, and my focus is Europe and the GCC. Since 2024 I have run Lorenz Asmus Interim Management (LA|IM). I help boards and executive teams turn vision and strategy into an organisation that works day to day, with clear structures, decision rights and processes. Increasingly, this includes introducing AI into regulated organisations so that accountability is clear and the organisation is inspection-ready.
I started out in nursing. There I saw early on how deeply structures reach into people's everyday lives. I brought that perspective into the pharmaceutical industry, where structures must ultimately stand up to the authorities. Over more than twenty years I have developed and reshaped global and local organisational units and led them through inspections and audits with authorities such as the EMA, FDA, BfArM and SFDA. I have built teams in Europe, the GCC, Africa and the USA and developed people into leaders.
What I build keeps evolving after I have gone. I developed a qualification programme for distributors in twenty countries across the MEA region. After the pilot, it became the template for Latin America, the CIS region and Asia Pacific, and was later rolled out in the USA and Europe. The digital governance and compliance platforms I designed and introduced for it are still in use worldwide and now include AI. I have also guided five post-merger integrations.
My work begins with listening and looking closely. That is how I spot problems before they become expensive. I see the work through from the first analysis to full implementation. I am a sparring partner to boards and a mentor to leaders and teams, and I see potential in every person.
She designed and executed transformational strategies that shifted manual processes towards automation and digital collaboration, laying the foundation for global rollouts in APAC, North America, and Canada.
Her ability to balance high-level strategy with hands-on execution made a lasting impact on both local teams and regional outcomes.
What I admire most is that she builds teams and systems designed to outlast her own involvement.
Every mandate begins with a confidential conversation.
